Favorite Oatmeal

Hi, Happy Monday!  I am trying to eat better because we are going on a big family cruise in less than 100 days:) oh and its Monday so starting my diet again...


I am in love with this easy and filling breakfast and it's good for you!


pour 1/2 cup oats and 1 cup water in a good sized bowl so it won't boil over in microwave.  



add one chopped apple


sprinkle with a little salt and cinnamon

Stir and microwave uncovered for 2 1/2 minutes


you can now add brown sugar and milk if you want (I usually just add brown sugar but my friend eats it plain and loves it.  My husband cooks his with frozen blueberries instead of apples and cinnamon and doesn't add any sweetener)

 I almost forgot to take an after pic because I was eating it and enjoying it so much!

Oatmeal lowers your cholestoral and "an apple a day keeps the dr away"
